Great Weekend

What a weekend that was!!!!  To all of you that came on the weekend a big thank you for a most enjoyable time. You were all fantastic, full of enthusiasm, full of energy and perfectly behaved. We have no doubt that we would have made the summit of  Carrantoohil if it were not for the dangerously high winds at the ridge above the Devils ladder. Safety was and will always be the determining factor in everything  we do. You guys did manage to get to a height of 1001 metres ( 3286 feet) that was an excellent achievement and i think when you all looked up and saw the distance you had travelled a sense of pride replaced any disappointment. You also cycled approx 12 kilometres around the Killarney national park on the Saturday afternoon after little or no sleep on the Friday night.  Well done to all of you, particularly Sam who chose one of the toughest hikes in Ireland to be his first!!!

Enjoy the pictures, more will follow, if you have any you would like included contact one of the leaders.

see you all Thursday
