Fingal Scout County Camp
Hi all,
A reminder that we will be heading to the Fingal Scout County Camp next weekend. It will be a totally awesome event with Scouts from all over the county taking part.
We will be heading down to the Camp venue in Malahide Castle on Friday night and camping for 2 nights. There will be exciting bases on Saturday, a trade fair on Saturday evening and a surprise event on Sunday!!
Here is the gear list:
- Neckerchief
- Torch – preferably a head torch with spare batteries
- Full raingear (Trousers, and Jacket with hood: Must be water proof)
- Sleeping bag
- Ground mat
- Survival Bag (Bivvy Bag)
- Eating utensils (Spoon, Fork, Knife, Plate, Bowl and Cup)
- Warm Clothes
- Hiking boots
- Towel
- Wash gear
- Hat and Gloves
- A rucksack to put it all in
- Plastic Bags
Bring the following if you have it:
– A penknife (if you have permission from your parents)
– A basic first aid kit
– Flint & Steel
– Compass
– Watch
