Interpatrol Update – Week 4

Top scorers in Week 4 were the Kestrels with a whopping 368 points. This was helped by the double whammy of Sarah and Stefanie cleaning up in the drill competition! How does this massive points haul affect the overall standings? Well, we have a new leader…….The Kestrels leapfrog the Merlins shooting into first place on a humongous total of 1413 points. The Merlins are not far off the lead, just 66.4 points behind with the Falcons a further 53.1 points back. As we have seen over the course of the Interpatrol competition there are buckets of points up for grabs, so keep up the good work!! Remember there are is 400 points up for grabs by organising a Patrol Activity……… this weekend is the last weekend to do it……. if you haven’t already!!

A reminder that the Annual Ready Steady Cook event will be taking place on the 29th March (this Saturday). Your Patrols will plan, purchase food, build an altar fire, maintain the fire and cook some tasty, delicious meals. Easy peasy!!!

Each meal will be judged by the most prestigious food critics in the World – your leaders, so we will expect the food to be of the highest standard. (If the last couple of years is anything to go by……… it will be fantastic)

The meals will be judged and your Patrol will earn points towards the Interpatrol competition

Annual Camp – Last Chance!!!!

A reminder that if you plan heading to Germany on Annual Camp, a deposit of €150 is needed by this Thursday. We will be booking flights later this week so you need to have paid your deposit to secure your seat on the plane!

Thanks!!!

Interpatrol Update – Week 3

It is unbelievably close in our Interpatrol competition! Merlins  are leading the way with Kestrels just 1.6 points behind! The Falcons are breathing down their necks only 6 points behind. This is quite impressive considering the score they got in Week1 – really upping their game! The standard of uniforms has really improved with one or two Scouts earning a perfect 50 points for their Patrol…… the marking has been quite tough and some Scouts just need minor improvements to get a perfect score.

We will keep all of the info about the Inter Patrol competition in the dedicated area of our website (Interpatrol Competition tab on top) or  Click Here

This was Week 3 of the competition and Sarah G and Patrick notched up points during the Drill competition. Sarah has won Drill 2 weeks out of 3, can anyone beat her?!?

The Eagle Patrol had just 2 members this week but Sam and Josh had perfect uniform and performed excellently in the Skit to earn 50 points

Well done to all of our Patrols, you all really have gotten stuck in and have shown great enthusiasm over the past 3 weeks! Keep it up!

Interpatrol Competition Update

We kicked off our Interpatrol competition last week. It will run for a total of 6 weeks and after Week 1 it is the Merlin patrol who “fly” into the lead in, will they be “soaring” high by the end of the competition. There are a load of points available – uniform inspections, patrol activity, drill, games and bonus points galore. Stefanie and Ronan picked up Bonus points last week by getting stuck in and helping others out. We’ll be keeping the leaderboard updated so keep an eye on the “Interpatrol Competition” section of the website (click on the tab at the top of this page).

Each Scout was given their patrol badges last week, these badges are part of your uniform so make sure to be wearing them tomorrow night!

Patrol Badge Placement

Hi all,

We’ve attached an image of where your new Patrol Badges need to be sewn onto your shirt. They go on top of your right sleeve, above your Special Interest Badge and below your PL/APL badge (If you have one).

These badges are part of your uniform and need to be sewn on.

This will be factored into uniform inspections and be part of the Inter Patrol competition!!
