Hi all,

Welcome back again everybody and a special welcome to our 2 new recruits – Mario and Ben……It was great to see everybody last Thursday, looking forward to the year ahead….it’s gonna be whopper!

As we discussed we have a couple of awesome events planned for October. The details are below, so make sure and pencil them into your busy diaries. We are hoping all Scouts can attend. A reminder to keep an eye on our Upcoming Events area, which is over there —>

Scout County Camp – Fri 2nd – Sun 4th October 2015

We will be camping in Larch Hill with all of the different groups from Fingal County.

The theme of the event is Camelot so there will be kings, princesses, castles, wizards, knights games, a Camelot trade fair and loads more great craic!!!

Leopold Batt Memorial Competition – Sat 17th – Sun 18th October

Each Patrol will be battling it out to see who is the greatest Scout Patrol in Brackenstown! The event is named after the group’s founder Leopold Batt. There are loads and loads of great activities planned for the weekend – including abseiling, orienteering, water sports and bivvying in Turvey woods ….we will be sleeping under the stars on the Saturday night!

We will resume our Troop meetings on Thursday 10th September, meeting at 7 pm till 9.

We will be meeting on Saturday morning at 11am. Remember that we will be travelling in full uniform – Scout shirt, necker, belt, Scout trousers and dark shoes/hiking boots.

Final reminder…..
if you have not already paid off the balance for annual camp, we will be collecting payments this evening from 7pm – 7:30pm at the Den.

A reminder that we will be taking final payments for Annual camp this week. We will be at the Den between 7pm – 7:30pm this evening (Monday 6th) and 7pm – 7:30pm this Thursday 9th.

a reminder that we will be having our last meeting of the Scouting Year this evening. Uniforms are not needed, just neckerchiefs.
We’ll discuss details of Annual Camp, order in pizza and spend time recalling the awesome year we’ve had!

Hi all,
A reminder that we will be going to the Phoenix Park this Saturday, the 27th. We will be meeting at the Den at 1pm. We will be renting bikes, exploring the park, playing games and having a picnic. Please bring lunch, your neckerchief and suncream.
We should be back for 5pm approx.
