Howth and Irelands Eye – Saturday 24th – Day Trip
Hi all,
We have to postpone our camping weekend to Lough Dan due to a lot Scouts being unavailable – something about a group called One Direction being in town.
Instead we are going to have a day trip on Saturday. Hopefully more Scouts will be able to make the trip (and got to the concert).
We will be meeting at the Den at 10am and heading out to Howth. If the boats are running we will sail out to a nearby island – Ireland’s Eye.
We will discuss full details at tomorrow’s meeting. See you all then.
Lough Dan – Camping Weekend – 23rd-25th May
Hi All,
A reminder that we will be heading to Lough Dan next weekend (Fri 23rd- Sat 25th May). We’ll be hiking up Scarr Mountain and camping beside the lake in Lough Dan. The cost is €10 per Scout. We hope you all can make it!

Gear List for the Camping Weekend:
- Ground mat
- Sleeping bag
- Full rain gear
- Full change of clothes
- Hiking Boots
- Wash gear
- Towel
- Eating utensils – plate, cup, knife, fork and spoon
- Hat and gloves
- Spare warm jumper/fleece
- Torch
- A few black bags. To be used to keep things dry
If you have them:
- Compass
- Penknife
- Bivy bag
- First Aid Kit
Meeting – Thursday 1st May – Back in Action
Hi all,
Hope you had great mid-term breaks? We know you are dying to get back to school! We’ll be back in action on Thursday evening as well – so see you all then!
PL Council Meeting – 6pm
We will have a PL Council meeting with the PLs and APLs 1 hour before our meeting on Thursday at 6pm.

Easter Fire – Meeting at the 8pm – Sat 19th April
Hi all, a reminder that we will have our Easter fire outside the Church this evening.
We will be meeting at the Den at 8pm and are looking for Scouts to help.
The Mass starts at 9:30pm. Full uniform must be worn as well.

Well Done and Thank You to our Regional Shield Team
A massive Well Done and Thank You to our Regional Shield team who represented our troop at the weekend!!! They worked extremely hard during the training, in the run up to the competition and got stuck in all weekend! Well done! Your enthusiasm, motivation, teamwork and skills represented the best qualities of the Raven Troop! Take a bow!

Cake Sale
The Cubs and Beavers are running a Cake Sale on Sunday morning. It’s on in the Den and will be on for a few hours…..as long as there are goodies left.
It’d be great if you could spread the word and support them. Make sure to get there early to get all the best stuff!
Don’t spend all of your pocket money buying the leaders cakes, but you can spend most of it!
Regional Shield Team – Gear List
Our Regional Shield Team will be representing our Troop this weekend at the Regional Shield competition. They have been working hard, training and organising all of the equipment for the weekend.

- Ground mat

- Uniform (on a hanger)
- Wash gear
- Towel
- Eating utensils – plate, cup, knife, fork and spoon
- Tea towel
- Hat and gloves
- Spare warm jumper/fleece
- Full rain gear – bottoms and jacket
- Torch
- A few black bags. To be used to keep things dry.
- Bivvy Bag
- Toilet roll
If you have them bring them.
- Small first aid kit
- Pen knife – if you are allowed.
- Gear for the sketch / art gear for the log book
