Getting Close

Hi all, just a few days left before we head off on Annual Camp but still lots of work to do. We need all Scouts to help with the sorting and packing of the gear over the next  few days. we are meeting in the den on Thursday and Friday at 3 pm.  On Saturday we will meet at 3 pm to load all the gear and your haversacks into the van. Also on Saturday you  need  to bring your passport and e111 card with you, we have been advised that we actually should bring them with us so we will collect and keep them safe during Camp. We will also collect your spending money on Saturday, remember max is UK 100, as we mentioned on Thursday Bank of Ireland in Main street will waive the commission fee if you mention you are with the Scouts.

Dont forget we are meeting on Sunday morning at 6.15 am ( that means in the morning) so we want to get all this administration stuff done on Saturday.

NO Troop meeting on Thursday evening.

See you all on thursday afternoon and dont forget to make sure those uniforms are all perfect for Sunday especially your neckerchief.

News 1st July

Dont know about you guys but all the Leaders were totally wrecked after the weekend. We all had a great time and again say thanks to all who were on the Weekend for your good humour and behaviour. There was a number of you who seemed to take too much enjoyment out of soaking the Leaders on Saturday afternoon but as the old saying goes               ‘ Revenge Is  Sweet’.

There is no troop meeting for the next two Thursdays so that means we are back in the hall on Thursday 17th July. However this Sunday 5th July we are having our annual BBQ after 12.30 mass in the Priests garden. All Scouts and families are invited so please make the effort to come along.

see you then

A Great Day

We are sure you will agree that Sunday was great craic. The cycling was great fun and thankfully the water in the NAC was warm.  Despite the fact that some Scouts have still to learn how to a stop a bike ( Hi Michelle ) we only had one little injury. Poor Rachel actually fractured her little finger, hope fully it is not long healing. Well done to all especially those who managed to master the Tandems.  By the way did anyone notice how Aoife kept cheating when racing Tony down the hill !

See you Thursday
