Gearlist for County Campcraft Competition

Hi all,
Check out the gearlist below for everything you need for the weekend in Bog of the Ring.
Also we are looking for parents to drive us down there at quarter to seven on Friday evening. It’s just a 15 minute drive from Swords so if you could ask your Mam or Dad that would be great. (The busses will be with the cubs for the weekend).
Also we will need picking up at 3pm from Bog of the Ring on Sunday.

Gearlist:
Boots
Raingear (top and bottoms)
Two changes of clothes
Spare jumper
Hat and gloves
Suncream
Full and correct uniform (packed as neatly as possible – if you arrive without full uniform you will be sent home to get it)
Neckerchief and woggle
Eating utensils (Plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork, spoon)
Wash gear
Towel
Ground mat
Sleeping bag
Torch (with spare batteries)
Personal first aid kit (tin with a few plasters and maybe a bandage)
Emergency rations (a pack of biscuits not a full sweet shop)
Water bottle
Pen knife (if your parents allow it)

Troop Meeting 14th April

Hi all, normal meeting this week, full uniform, start at 7 pm  sharp. A couple of important things:

Annual Camp, all Scouts who are travelling to France need to have their fee paid before the end of April, this is to allow the various bookings and payment to be made. 

Bank holiday weekend 29th – 31st  April. We are putting 4 teams into the County Shield competition weekend, 2 teams in the challenge and 2 in the training competition, so therefore all our Troop will be taking part. We will be camping in the ‘bog of the ring’ from Friday evening until Sunday lunch time, it will be a bit of craic and we really want the whole Troop to take part, so tell your Parents and start getting your camping gear ready.

Hi All, Troop meeting this Thursday as usual, 7 pm sharp, full uniform required.

PL’s and APL’s you are required to attend a training day for the new ‘ONE’ programme on Sunday next 6th March. It will start at 9.30 and finish about 5, lunch will be provided. This is a very important day for you guys so please make every effort to be there.

Thursday 03rd February

Hi all, hope you are all keeping well. A few important things for this Thursday.

We have our investiture this week, all Scouts to wear full and perfect Uniform. For those Scouts being invested dont forget to bring your neckerchiefs also remember to  invite your Parents down at 8.30pm. the meeting will finish at 09.00 as usual.

Very important, if you are going to France you will need to either bring a copy of,  or your actual Passport down on Thursday night, we need to obtain your Passport number and the actaul name on your Passport as flights have to be confirmed shortly. Dont forget it!!!!

Also if you are planning to come hostellling in Glendalough ( 11th-13th February) you must have paid your 20 euro deposit by this Thursday.
