4 of our Scouts (Sinéad, Patrick, Dylan and Sarah) will be heading down to Wicklow to take on the challenge of the Leinster MPC (Mountian Pursuit Challenge – www.mpcteam.ie). The MPCs are weekends of adventurous backpacking in the mountains. They are designed to be tough and challenging and aim to improve hiking, lightweight camping and navigation skills in the hills. Our MPC team will be camping in the Wicklow hills on Friday and Saturday night and taking on a challenging hike all day on the Saturday. No bother to yas!!

Darkness into Light
The rest of our troop will be helping out at the Darkness into Light event in Malahide Castle. It will take place in the early hours of Saturday morning. We will be meeting at the Den at 11:30pm on Friday night and heading across to Malahide Castle to help set up.
The main event will start at 4:15 am and we expect to be back at the Den at approximately 8:00 am (Saturday morning).
All Scouts are welcome to attend but remember it is taking place very early in the morning and will be very challenging. If you feel up to it we will see you Saturday morning.
