We have just updated the “Raven of the Year” leaderboard. You can have a look at the leaderboard by clicking on the tab at the top or it can be accessed over there ——————————————–>

Keep up the great work Ravens and we’ll see who comes out on top at the end of the Scouting year.

Ermegherd Erm-ergencies – Champions!!

Ermegherd Erm-ergencies - Champions

A massive Congratulations to our winners of the “Ermegherd Erm-ergencies Challenge”. Competition was fierce as each Patrol used their skills to deal with the Emergency Scenarios they were presented with.

And a special thanks to our Venture Scouts and Niall who were our very convincing casualties (I know their acting and moulage makeup was so convincing that some of our Scouts felt a bit squeamish!)

Well done everyone!

See you all this Thursday (4th April)

Thursday 28th March – Ermagherd Erm-ergencies Challenge

Ermagherd Erm-ergenciesYo Ravens,

We will be holding our “Ermagherd Erm-ergencies Challenge” during Thursday’s meeting. We have worked our socks off over the past couple of months brushing up on our First Aid and Emergencies skills.

We will be holding a Patrol competition and presenting prizes to the winning Patrol.

Each Patrol will have to deal with an Emergency Scenario using your skills and knowledge learned during this “Ermagherd Erm-ergencies” programme cycle.

We are currently putting up a lot of resources in our “Emergencies” section of the Website. If you click on “Badgework” then “Adventure Skills” and “Emergencies” you will find tons of resources there. (Here’s a shortcut ->Emergencies )

Change of Plans – Sunday 10th March

downloadHi All,

So the weather decided to change our plans – we’ll do the cycle in the Phoenix Park at a later date. The guy that does the bike hire won’t be open on Sunday due to weather – there may even be snow!

We’re going to head to the awesome Shackleton Exhibition, check out the legend that is Tom Crean and his mates (a bit of snow wouldn’t have stopped them!!!) and then head to the cinema after.

You can check out the exhibition here : Shackleton Exhibition

They do a Scout rate cos it’s so suited to us. It’ll be €2.70 to get into the Exhibition, then there’ll be the price of the cinema and fuel for the bus.

We’ll have a final price tomorrow. Don’t forget your Special Interest Badge material. Also, each Patrol will be presenting their Patrol Activity.

Phoenix Park Cycle – Sunday 10th March

Hi All,

We’re planning to head into the Phoenix Park next Sunday.

The plan is to rent bikes and explore one of the largest walled city parks in Europe!!

We might see a few deer, the Pope’s Cross and maybe even spot the President of Ireland strolling about!!

We will give full details at the meeting on Thursday – See you then.

Also, don’t forget Special Interest Badges and each Patrol will be giving a presentation on their Patrol Activity so bring any photos or items you want for your presentation.
