Annual Camp – Gear List
Hi all,
There are just a couple of more sleeps until we make our way towards Lough Key!! It is going to be absolutely Jepic!!!!
We are going to meet on Thursday for half an hour at 7pm to go through the plan and answer any questions you may have.
Leave a comment/let us know if you can’t make it on Thursday.
We will be meeting at the Den on Saturday morning at 10am sharp.
Below is the list of essential gear :
• A smile, a sense of adventure, a great attitude etc…
• Hiking boots
• Runners
• A few changes of clothes – a weeks worth should do, we will be doing a lot of activities so expect them to get dirty!
• Uniform (bring spare neckerchiefs if you have them)
• Good waterproof raincoat with hood
• Rain trousers or gaiters
• Spare socks, underwear
• Warm fleece , jumper, even though it’s summer !!!
• Pyjamas
• Swim gear
• Towel
• Sun cream
• Medications, to be handed to Leaders on Saturday morning.
• Insect repellant
• Bivvy bag – we plan to bivvy on the island
• Toiletries
• Eating utensils (Mug, plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon )
• Sleeping bag
• Ground mat
• Water bottle
• Torch
• A few black bags (for lining your rucksack if it rains)
Optional Gear (if you have it):
• Compass
• Whistle
• Pen knife – if you are allowed
• Camera
• Personal First Aid Kit
Do remember that what you bring you carry, and you are responsible for your belongings.

Larch Hill – Gear List
Hi all,
A reminder that we are leaving the Den on Friday at 7.30pm sharp. See you then!!
Below is the usual gear list for camp :
1. Ground mat
2. Sleeping bag
3. Full change of clothes
4. Wash gear
5. Towel
6. Eating utensils – plate, cup, knife, fork and spoon
7. Tea towel
8. Hat and gloves
9. Spare warm jumper/fleece
10. Full rain gear
11. Torch
12. A few black bags. To be used to keep things dry.
13. Toilet roll
14. Necker
15. Insect Repellent
All inside a rucksack you can carry on your back.
If you have them bring them.
1. Small first aid kit
2. Pen knife – if you are allowed.
Larch Hill – This weekend
Hi All,
we need to know the numbers for the camping weekend in Larch Hill. We are going this Friday evening and will be back Sunday lunchtime. Apart from Annual Camp this will be our last activity of this scout year so we want as many Scouts to go. It will be a chill out weekend.
The cost is $20.
Please let us know if you are or are not going.

We’ll be back to “normal” (well as normal as the Raventroop can be) this evening.

Larch Hill – Camping Weekend – June 29th – July 1st
Hey hey Ravens,
You are all invited to come along to Larch Hill at the end of June (Fri 29th – Sun 1st Jul). It’s in the middle of summer so the weather cannot possibly put a stop to it this time. Can it? 😉
We will head down on the Friday night, pitch the tents and get a good 12 hours sleep (yeah right!!! ;-)) ready for the weekend.
We plan to do a good few activities (orienteering, camp craft and get some badgework done) as well as having time to chill out and soak up the rays.
As usual we want everyone to come along, so hopefully you can all make it.
The price for the whole weekend is €20.
